The IJSBA international jet ski competition in Belgium (25 – 27 July 2025) served as a real test for Monegasque pilot Lisa Caussin-Battaglia. Thanks to the acquisition of new equipment (GP1R hand jet) over the winter, as well as more advanced physical preparation, this event represented an ideal opportunity to position herself against the international competition.
Despite the absence of any mechanical, physical or meteorological problems, the event went as smoothly as the team had hoped. The water was perfectly smooth and wave-free, providing ideal life-size conditions for assessing the team’s physical progress. However, these conditions didn’t allow the Monegasque to stand out, even though she was able to gather some valuable technical information (stock engine settings, jet behaviour) over the course of the weekend’s three heats. Her penultimate position in the Women Ski GP category underlines the work that still needs to be done to reach the level of the best pilots.
Lisa celebrates her ninth year of international competition in 2025, and continues to prepare for the major events to come.
Her sights are now set on the UIM World Championship in Indonesia in mid-August. Lisa Caussin-Battaglia will be taking part with equipment specially prepared to meet the demands of this world event.
