The UIM FORMULA 2 Inshore World Championship kicks off in Brindisi (Italy).

The UIM Formula 2 World Championship has just got underway, with the Monegasque driver taking 2nd place in Q3. The UIM World Championship is a highly competitive affair, as it is every year, with 18 teams on the grid and 10 nations represented.

The Monegasque Giacomo SACCHI-ABBATE got off to a good start, maintaining his position on the grid until the 28th lap of the race. With ten laps to go, the Monaco driver was in 2nd place, just one second behind the leader.

Unfortunately, in the slowest part of the circuit, he made a piloting error due to a succession of waves and his boat flipped over (not serious for the driver and his equipment).

The UIM F2 World Championship will be contested over 6 stages this season (2 in Italy, Norway, Lithuania and 2 in Portugal), so everything remains open for the Monegasque to conquer the supreme title.

The next stop will be TONSBERG in Norway on the weekend of August 02, 2024.
