Monaco, 17 – 19 July 2025 – For the second year running, Monaco is hosting a leg of the prestigious UIM E1 World Championship, the very first global competition for 100% electric racing boats. With the active support of the Fédération Monégasque Motonautique, the Principality is reaffirming its commitment to innovation and the energy transition in water sports.
Once again this year, the entrance to Port Hercule, as well as the new port of Mareterra, the site of the Sailing School, the Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM) and the Société Nautique have been made available to host the events and the logistical structures for the championship. An exceptional setting, perfectly in tune with the ecological ambitions of the E1 series.
The UIM E1 2025 championship brings together boats with 100% electric propulsion, veritable concentrates of technology capable of reaching impressive speeds (105km) while eliminating polluting emissions. This new, innovative and spectacular format is attracting an ever-growing audience, and bears witness to the eco-responsible direction that competitive water sports are taking.
The FMM is also fortunate to have three drivers certified for the E1 series, as well as a reserve driver: Giacomo Sacchi, selected by the organisers (reserve driver) and the only Monegasque representative entered in the competition this year. A source of pride for the Federation and a strong symbol of Monaco’s involvement in this promising discipline.
True to its image as a pioneer in sustainability, Monaco is positioning itself as a key player in the development of electric marine mobility, while providing an emblematic stage for this new era in motor sport.
